Butch Wax & The Hollywoods is celebrating 40 YEARS TOGETHER in 2025! They are an 8-piece band from St. Louis, MO and were formed by Gene Ackmann. The band has received a Proclamation from the Mayor of St. Louis and a special “Butch Wax & The Hollywoods Day” in St. Louis. The band performed at the Rams Super Bowl Victory Parade in 2000! Gene also produced and wrote several songs with Johnnie Johnson that will be featured on an upcoming Johnnie Johnson CD to be released in 2025.
